Local notes on your water utility, common problems and rebates, plus what we can help with.
Fairfax County is one of the places we work in most. Fairfax Water supplies most of the county. If you live in the City of Fairfax or in one of the towns inside the county, confirm which utility serves your street, because a few areas are served locally.
We handle the full range of residential plumbing for Fairfax homeowners: drains and sewer lines, water service lines, pressure, water heaters, fixtures and leaks, and gas lines.
What to know in Fairfax
- Lead line inventory
- Fairfax Water asked customers to help identify the material of their service lines. A November 2024 report said about 137,000 letters had gone out and only about 20 lead lines had been found. An unknown line still needs to be checked.
- Which part is yours
- The pipe from the meter to your house is generally yours. We can help you work out where your utility's responsibility ends before you pay for a repair.
- Water heater rebates
- Dominion Energy Virginia has a heat pump water heater rebate, but amounts conflict between sources. The federal credit ended for installations after 2025.
